Words From Our Father
Passover Special
The LORD's Passover Sacrifice

When God spoke to Moses from out of the Tabernacle in the wilderness, He gave Moses instructions on how to draw near to Him through the five different offerings. This occurred after God brought them out of Egypt and after He took them for His people through the covenant mediated by Moses. The system of offerings was designed to allow God’s already chosen and covenant people to draw near to Him. When we accept that Yeshua is our offering that allows us to draw near to God, we need to realize that this happens after we are taken out of slavery to sin and after entering into the New Covenant. How can this be? If it is not the offerings that shadow salvation through Yeshua, what does? How are we redeemed from slavery to sin? How do we enter into the New Covenant? It all begins back in Egypt with the Passover sacrifice.
Now available in two volumes The Voice of the Prophets focuses on the twelve books of the Minor Prophets. We’ve included Daniel’s visions from the book of Daniel because his prophesies bridge the time between the exile of Judah and the return to the land.

It’s interesting that there are twelve books recording the teachings of these prophets. Although there were many prophets who communicated the word of the LORD throughout the times of the Bible, only these twelve had their words included in the canon of scripture. Twelve is the number of governmental perfection as evidenced by the twelve tribes of Israel, the twelve apostles, and the twelve foundation stones and gates of the New Jerusalem.  It’s fitting that the prophets directed most of their words to those in power and governmental authority although their words speak to the common person as well.

A prophet is one who speaks the words of the LORD. What words of warning, wisdom, and instruction did God communicate through His prophets? What signs did He reveal about the coming of the Messiah, the Anointed One, who would bring redemption? Join us in this year-long two part study of the Voice of the Prophets as we dig deep into the history, culture, and context of the words of the LORD from these prophets.
